Post Party Riding... Details

Stats from Sunday ride: 89 km, time 3:11, ave. spd 28 kph, max spd 64.5

It was an awesome November day, sunshine, a balmy +3 to +5 C, and an east wind.

Thi, Jeff, and Mat took turns pulling and Mat, the official recorder of the day, was clicking photos with his new bike cam.

Thi and Jeff met at Movies to Go, at Kingston and Lawler, rode east to meet Mat along Kingston rd near the Guild, then down Guildwood parkway and familiar roads up to Stouffville, coffee, and back down ninth line, ressors, around the zoo and home along Kingston.

Although inspired by the Paris – Roubaix movie, we did not ride any cobbles!

Any one up for a ride next weekend if the sun is out?

Jeff

Rainy, but Eventful...

Got up this morning and looked outside. Not only was it dark but it was wet!

I figured because no one posted that I would not be riding. But much to my surprise, when I got to Tim Hortons, there were 5 other riders there! You guys are troopers!

Well, we started off wet and cold, not sure at times whether it was actually raining or just rooster. For some reason it seemed harder to ride than usual. Guess it was the head wind and rain. As we approached Main St. Stouffville there was so much fog that we all decided to go straight to the coffee shop.

At the coffee shop Stefan had some eye problems and had to bail, but the topics of conversation were quite interesting.

"How you do'in?"

James ended up getting a flat on Stouffville Rd. and I'll let the video explain the rest...
Quentin, thanks for Timing!
James, Nice work on the 1st Surgery, but don't forget to remove the bullet next time.

James is getting ready...

Pictures say a thousand words.

Here are the stats:

T: 2:45:37

Dst: 80km

Avg: 29km/h

Max: 50km/h

From an elevation perspective, we hit a low point at 15.8km of the climb (85m) and then hit peak altitude at 38.8km (280m).

We had total ascent of 666m (bad day for the devil) and total descent of 829m through the ride. The last 28k was a net descent of 140m (163m of climbing and 300m of downhill).(Courtesy of Quentin)

All in all, great ride!

THE END.
