Oh man - I sucked so badly on that ride. Thanks you guys for pulling me there and back!!
I think my feet had a mild case of frostbite. Felt like they were on fire when I got my shoes off.

Well done brave ones! Sorry I missed the ride. Decision not to go did not come easy!
6:10 am and I am standing staring at my bike. Not far away are all of my cold weather clothes neatly arranged, beside extra tube, cliff bar and cell phone for my back pocket. My bike almost seems to stare back at me, water bottles full, freshly lubed chain, and tires inflated and ready to go. I step outside in my underwear to check the weather - holy crap its cold and the usual dark. Back inside and more staring? Back outside a moment later and it still has not warmed and is still dark! Back in for more staring. My poor dog whom is waiting for the ritual pre-ride piece of crust from my toast and peanut butter stares at me as confused as I continue to stare at my bike. And then it happened. I finally gave in to that urge to go back to bed. I was weak. So Weak! I am so ashamed.
Back in bed I am too guilty to sleep. I keep an eye on the clock thinking if I get my ass going now I can still make it, which turns into maybe I could catch up with them, which finally turns into I have missed the ride. Cant sleep and to early to try and give the wife a nudge I get up and tackle the other reason I am not ridng
Gotta fix my roof before it snows!
Spent the entire day on that damn roof with nothing but regret and a bad sense of priority.
Question is - did you get it fixed? If you did it was all worth it. Sleeping in winter with snow dripping on your face is not something very desirable.
I was faced with a technical, putting a new chain on the night before and not test riding your bike is a no no! Luckily Dave had the knowledge to loosen the stiff/skipping link.
It turned out to be a very beautiful day I'm sure you knew being on the roof and all...

Hey Guys,
I was in 'Girlington' for the weekend and kept repeating to myself all Sunday how awesome it would have been for a ride! I ended up just running 6K instead. I see a couple of you are sporting new Giordana gear as well. Let's hope the weather clears up again this Sunday.

Got er done D.
Barry, you got to get yourself some "Booty". Hell treat yourself to a pair! I think own man D. might be able to hook you up.
Steve,
Cool story..ironic really. I was saying to Dan.." Where is Steve? He never misses....he must be either dead or fixing his roof!" I am glad it was the latter / ladder.
James
PS Easily the best ride of the year...never to be repeated...too bad you missed it.
