Fast and Safe!!

Great ride today. A little toasty on the way home though.

I think we would all agree the tarts at the Goodwood Bakery were spectacular!! As the name implies there is always good wood in Goodwood.

I was ravenous when I got home and as there was only leftover noodles (enough with the pasta already) in the fridge so I went out and had a shawarma. A better post ride recovery meal I have yet to meet....that really hit the spot...that and a litre of milk!

I hope the Dark Horse Flyers had success this weekend as well as Dave Silcox in the ITT. Also, a big congrats to all the Tour for Kids riders. Perhaps a beer night this week to catch up on all the action???

Update: Speedy Steve is back on the road...keep the rubber side down, Steve.

Here are my stats:

Distance: 111 km

Avg: 29.3 km/hr

Max: 60 km/hr

Post your stats please.

Pics to follow except for the disturbing picture of Big Mat Matt's tanlines....too unsettling.

James awesome ride! Awful fast... sort of.

My stats:
*Totals:
-time: 3:32:32 (h:mm:ss)
-energy: 4054 Cal
-dist: 101.9km

Avgs/max:
-HR: 133/177bpm
-spd: 28.8/56.9 km/h

FYI, when the QB Express did their little break away I had been eyeing my GPS for a while, seemed we were going fast, and we were, 39.4km/h -steady- when QB passed. So the express was doing at least 45 on the flats. Just remember guys, its a $90 fine for going between 9 and 16km/h over the posted speed limit! ;)
