Steady State Saturday

7AM at Lakeshore and Leslie Timmy Ho's.

Heading west, we will stick together the whole time, making sure the pace is manageable for the slowest in the group, but still steady. There will be no stops unless someone flats or really begs for a nature break.

Remember to use the draft effectively, not to take long turns at the front pulling the group (a minute or 2 should be the max), not to surge and drop others and bring food and drink! By now, you should be drinking a minimum of bottle and a half for a ride of this length. Save your legs for Sunday's big ride and climb the Escarpment!

Feed zones will be at 30km (Queensway and Cawthra) and 47km (Lakeshore and Hurontario).

What's the speed that everyone will be striving for? I don't want to hold anyone up...so I'll go depending on the speed.

Mike, come on. How fast were we going on Tuesday during the final sprint?! That's right.

You better be there on Saturday!

I *might* be able to join you guys, what time do you think we'll be back at Timmy Ho's after the ride?

Even if we only average 25 km/hr we will be back at 10AM.

Guys, this is a really easy ride, I've done it twice so far. (In fact I just had dental surgery this afternoon and I am going to be out there tomorrow.) The hardest part might be deciding what to have at Dark Horse after the ride is over. =)

Speaking of which, if it rains during or just before the ride I will be getting out all my chain cleaning junk after, so if anyone else wants a chain cleaning, just follow me home. (I only ask that you pay cost of consumables, about $1.50 ~ $2.00 per chain.)

The ride is happening rain or shine right? Also if it does rain (which it seems like it will) what do you guys normally wear? I've never gone riding in the rain before.
