The early start gave us some perfect weather on the old Stouffville route. Thanks to James for leading, and to Jeff, Christian, Misha, Dave S., Dave O., Carbon Dave, Peter, Steve, and visitor Gary for a great ride. Despite a few mechanical problems (watch out for those errant fire hydrant caps!), we still managed the following stats:
Long route:
Time: 3:16
Distance: 99 km
Average Speed: 30.1 km/h
Max. Speed: 61 km/h
Short route:
Time: 2:48
Distance: 82.6 km
Average Speed: 29.4 km/h
Max. Speed: 54 km/h

On behalf of the club, I'd also like to also extend my condolences to Dave Silcox and to the rest of his family for their loss.

Great ride this week...congrats to Christian for keeping it upright! I am trying to ride tonight (Tuesday) but not 100% sure. Anyone else going? I will discuss with Adam this weekends route...get your requests in early. Still looking for the all tailwind / smooth /no traffic / all downhill / no fire hydrant cap route.

I would like to try and get out as well. Will confirm as I have a few loose ends to deal with.

Hi Steve,
If it is just you and I then let's decide on a route. I'm ok with the Lakeshore route but if you have any suggestions I am open to that too. If you want to do Lakeshore is it easier meeting at Tim Hortons Lakeshore and Leslie?? I don't know about east end rides but I could meet you out that way....830 is about the earliest I can make it though...post here or give me a call on my cell 416 802 3177.
James
